Hey Manifest House friends! I saw this image on Pinterest today. I think it's super helpful when it comes to considering ways to rest. It's a good reminder that there are different ways to rest and all of them are wonderful options depending on current needs. One of the ways I'm resting this afternoon is pulling some cornbread out of the oven. It smells amazing and I can't wait to snack on it over the next few days. What is one or more of the ways you're resting today? 🩷

Have you written a letter to yourself recently? I personally love writing letters to other people. But I rarely write to myself. And that's ok! I recently found a letter I wrote to my child self YEARS ago. It was really sweet and tender. I believe we have multiple, infinite selves. And so to take that idea and talk to or write a letter to a past or future self? Or a self not bound by time? 🤯 If you wrote a letter to one of your selves today, what is one thing you would say?

Did you know that Manifest House has a blog? Here is a post I contributed last year to the Manifest House blog. This collaboration was my introduction to Manifest House and the amazing vision that Angelee has. When stars align and all that. ☺️ But yes, plants are IT for me. I just know there are more plant loving members here too. Let's talk! And if you want to get more into caring for plants, let's talk too! ✨ https://www.manifesthouse.com/post/7-ways-plants-can-support-your-healing

First of all, I HIGHLY recommend Lotus' EFT work. There are some event replays in the library and she's scheduled to do one next month. Secondly, I only have mobility in my left hand rn. And relative short-arm t-Rex syndrome 😂 - does anyone know of one-handed tapping? Or does it matter if you can just only do one side? Thank you!!

Ok, this might be a little controversial but I feel like maybe not in this space. First, I want to acknowledge that all of us in this space are truly beautiful in how we show up here and outside of Manifest House. And the events that Angelee and her team organize are such a cool way to connect, heal, and learn together. 🙌 I've been really exploring how US-centric culture has really consumerized self-care. And that's complicated because by doing that, it has allowed a lot of people to access self-care tools and resources that may not have otherwise been able to access them. AND also, there is this underlying narrative that we gotta do x, y, & s to heal ourselves and that implies that something is broken or needs to be healed within us. And also to do that, we gotta buy or consume x, y, and x. And that is a very colonialist idea. I really like how Angelee reframed self-care in a way with the soul-care groups. Being able to have intimate spaces with each other is collective care and collective liberation. Also the ways that we can commune together to do this work that we are not only offered but we choose to invest in. And I wanna say that I'm not knocking self-care. But I am gently pushing back on narratives that have purposely been woven into that concept as a way to keep us focused on the "self." Like how are we gonna heal ourselves from whatever right but specifically trauma when societal institutions create power dynamics that keep that trauma cycle in place for so many of us (in vastly different ways too, right?!) So collective liberation for me looks like noticing ourselves and practicing radical acceptance with who we are at any given moment. It looks like mirroring that acceptance for others - meeting people where they are. It looks like centering kind fierce care for our individual selves AND each other. It looks like centering service outside of the self and inside the collective (which includes the one and also all). Like how expansive could our love and liberation be the deeper we dive into that? deep sigh I don't know if any of this made sense. BUT! tl;dr I am so grateful that all of you chose to be here. That Angelee created this space. This is what it's all about. Manifest House is an incredible opportunity to show up for ourselves and each other. Like damn, that is awe-inspiring. 🙌🙌🙌

Have any of you heard of sleep chronotypes or done work around yours? I feel most aligned as a wolf. And I love this schedule created for that chronotype: https://www.mindbodygreen.com/articles/wolf-chronotype But I also feel like all of the chronotype suggested "optimum" schedules favor the idea that early mornings or morning-prioritized days are better than evening-prioritized days in a way. Or maybe I'm just salty because waking up at 7am is extra to me. Anyway, I'm exploring how I feel when I incorporate that schedule into my life. And also exploring moving everything an hour later or adjusting windows of time to accommodate me being able to sleep more. 😉 I'll post an infographic in the comments that shows the four different chronotypes. Not posting it in the main post because it suggests that people with adhd should give up their meds and live by their chronotype schedule. And I'm not here to promote not taking meds or taking meds. That's all individual. 💗

My FAVORITE oracle decks are the Seasons of the Witch series by Juliet Diaz and Lorraine Anderson. They are coming out with a new one in March or April I believe. My current favorite tarot deck is Mystic Mondays. It's created by Grace Duong. All of these decks are created by women of color. 🙌 Share your favs?
