Mom's Night In: Self-Care in Community at Manifest House
with Dr. Christine Coleman, LMFT, PhD & Krystalynn Williams, MFT ✧ donation-based community care circle on motherhood
Time & Location
Feb 15, 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM PST
About the Event
Women are tasked with countless roles to carry. As mothers, women often navigate the complex emotions of parenting, from the joys of raising children, to the exhaustion and isolation that’s experienced, too.
Meet us at Manifest House for Mom's Night In, a virtual self-care night. Guided by licensed marriage and family therapists, Krystalynn Williams, LMFT, and Dr. Christine Coleman, PhD, LMFT, this community care circle will help moms process their experiences and emotions related to motherhood in a safe and supportive space. While this event is designed specifically for mothers, it is also open to all women and femmes interested in learning more about the experiences of motherhood.
- Finding time for self and self-care as a busy mom
- Navigating one's identity as a mom
- Challenges that come with motherhood
- Unique experiences that BIPOC-identifying (Black, Indigenous, or People of Color) mothers often face.
Attendees will walk away with a deeper understanding of self-care, a clearer grasp on the mental, emotional, and physical risks we take if we avoid self-care, and practical tips to integrate self-care into our busy, full lives.
This community class is donation-based (pay what you can). Free spots are available and everyone is welcome, regardless of their ability to donate. All proceeds from this event go towards the Manifest House scholarship fund, which provides fully-funded memberships to those in our community needing support.
What You'll Need:
- A quiet place to tune in with minimal distractions
- Headphones recommended
- Your favorite journal
- Water or tea
- Any other items that bring you comfort and help you create your sacred space (a cozy blanket, crystals, candles, incense, etc)
