The timing of this question is so magical, I was doing some inner child work / exploration just last night as part of this group couching program I’m in. The question was, “what did your younger self need to hear?” My younger self (9-14 yrs old) needed to hear that she was perfect as she was, and that it was okay to be different than her siblings, and that just being herself is enough and wonderful. Also that she was beautiful. I felt ugly as a child and compared myself to my beautiful older sisters. Thank you for asking this question, Jen!! ❤️❤️❤️

Jen! I love this reflection so so much. I think about this often. I actually very much agree with you — colonized self-care and wellness has become very much about “how can I heal my brokenness” or all about “improving myself”. I believe that we are not broken, we are actually whole already and this work just brings us back home to that truth. And collective care — yes yes yes. I’m still recovering from sickness so don’t have all the words to express right now, but I know for sure that healing happens in community. Thank you for expressing yourself in this post ❤️❤️

This card felt so timely for me. Stress has been very active this week and I’m feeling it in my body, mind and heart. I have a lot on my plate right now and I’ve noticed that my self talk is super pushy 🫠 I want to allow myself to have more fun and joy throughout my day and I’m reminding myself: I am doing enough!!! ❤️
