The Wounds We Carry: a Workshop at Manifest House

Join Manifest House and Roslyn & Regine of be Morr Counseling for The Wounds We Carry: a Workshop on the Mother Wound. By definition, the mother wound is a generational pain inherited and passed down between grandmothers, mothers, and daughters caused by living in a patriarchal culture that's oppressive toward women. This workshop intends to help participants develop insight into patterns and ignite healing.

In this 90 minute interactive workshop, Regine and Roslyn will help participants understand the definition of ‘the mother wound’ and describe how it impacts their view of self/others. Participants will have an opportunity to engage in active exercises that encourage reflection and nourishing conversation.

• Healthy boundary setting and higher sense of self worth
• Increased safety in having your voice be heard
• Awareness of your true potential and less self sabotage

What You'll Need: 

• A quiet place to tune in with minimal distractions
• Headphones recommended
• Your favorite journal if you'd like to take notes or reflect afterwards 
• Water or tea
• Any other items that bring you comfort and help you create your sacred space (a cozy blanket, crystals, candles, incense, etc)

Founded by friends, Regine & Roslyn, who turned their passion into purpose, be Morr provides individual & group therapy, retreats and wellness workshops. They are on a mission to build generational health within communities of color by curating culturally affirming spaces, facilitating discussions on mental wellness, and empowering others to discover what is already within.

Regine Dorismond and Roslyn Guzman are Licensed Therapists in New York & New Jersey with 10+ years of experience. Collectively they have provided direct clinical support to youth and adults in an array of settings, which ultimately led them to their path of opening up their own practice to serve the community that fuels them.
